Support Dublin Simon Community this Christmas

Help people on their journey home this year

Dublin Simon Community are calling on the support of the public this Christmas in any way that they possibly can. The homeless and housing charity is appealing to people to support them as they enter their busiest time of the year.

There are loads of ways for people to get involved with the Dublin Simon Community this Christmas, including:

Sing for Simon: Throughout December we are asking you to gather your friends and family together to form a choir and lend your voice to ending homelessness. #SingforSimon

Simon 24-Hour Carolathon: (14th-15th December) Join Dublin Simon Community from 11am on Grafton Street to sing in aid of those who are facing their darkest moments in life.

Simon House of Light: The three day festival, which runs until Saturday, 8th December, launches on Thursday, 6th December from 5pm at the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre on Dublin’s South William Street. Be entertained by a spectacular light projection show and music every night. Acts such as The Strypes, The Blizzards, Danny from The Coronas and many more have performed in previous years.

Simon House of Cards: Help Simon fight the growing and changing nature of homelessness in Ireland today. Someone you know could be affected and you might not even be aware. Instead of sending corporate Christmas cards or gifts this year, get involved in the national Simon House of Cards Appeal 2018.

Simon Stars and Christmas Cards: Give the gift of hope this Christmas by sending your family and friends a Simon Star to hang on their Christmas tree. We also have Simon Christmas Cards for you to send to loved ones and help spread some joy during the festive season. The artwork for these wonderful cards was created by participants of art groups throughout Dublin Simon Community’s many client services.

Make a donation: You might not realise the power of your donation, however a gift of whatever you can afford this Christmas, no matter how large or small, will help someone’s son or daughter, someone’s sister or brother out of homelessness. #SupportSimon

You can also show your support by offering to volunteer and bucket shake during all of our Christmas fundraisers.
