House of Light 2020

Our annual Simon House of Light celebrations that take place every December and which for so many have become synonymous with the arrival of Christmas have had to be put on hold this year due to Covid-19.

The three-day festival, which sees the front of the Powerscourt Townhouse, illuminated with a magical light and music show is one of our longest running events and it is with a heavy heart that we are not in a position to facilitate it this year.

Dublin Simon Community are still encouraging members of the public to show their support to the long-standing tradition and the continued generosity of the Powerscourt Centre by visiting the Centre over the Christmas period and in particular over the weekend 3rd, 4th and 5th December on what would have been the House of Light weekend to enjoy their carol singing and Christmas entertainment. There will also be an opportunity to take a look back on some of the highlights of House of Light down through the years with a slide show.

We still have our Sing for Simon and Carolathon events taking place throughout the month of December, as well as our 12 Challenges of Christmas. If you would like to get involved in any of our fundraising opportunities, please contact fundraising@dubsimon.ie and we would be delighted to chat to you.
