Virtual Fundraising

Help us to continue to help those without a place to call home, from the comfort of your own couch. Banish the boredom, stay in touch with family and friends and continue to raise vital funds for the most vulnerable members of our society accessing the services of Dublin Simon Community.

Like many other organisations, the fundraising efforts of Dublin Simon Community have been curtailed due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis. We have had to cancel many long-standing events and fundraising ideas that have been organised by our supporters. However, as restrictions begin to ease, we are delighted to say that many of our events are coming back! We have taken our fundraising online and would be delighted if you could us there as we continue to raise vital funds for our frontline services and supports.

Fundraising goes virtual – how to get started

  1. Pick a virtual fundraiser that suits you best – the sky’s the limit. We welcome all weird and wonderful ideas, dye or shave your hair, host a virtual games night, run the length and breath of Croke Park in your garden or climb Croagh Patrick on your stairs.
  2.  Set up your preferred platform to collection donations (e.g. Facebook or iDonate) Here you can decide on a fundraising target and track your donations. Family and friends can also leave you notes of encouragement and good will.
  3. If you want to live stream your event, decide which platform suits you best (e.g. Zoom or Instagram live).
  4. Invite your friends and family to make a donation and join you at your virtual event.

As always our dedicated events team are on hand to offer advice and recommendations – we can help answer any questions you might have. For any idea big or small, please get in touch with us today. It couldn’t be easier, you can contact Caoimhe at caoimhenolan@dubsimon.ie or Steven at stevenshort@dubsimon.ie – we would be delighted to hear from you.

Sing for Simon

This year, support Dublin Simon Community in song! Do you think you have what it takes to be the next Beyonce? If you do or if you don’t, either way we want to hear you sing this year! Gather your friends, family and/or co-workers and join forces to Sing for Simon this year! Arrange your carol singing event in your local area, or use one of our pre-booked locations! We’ll provide the Santa hats and buckets; you bring the tunes and festive cheer! Sing for Simon this Christmas and help make a difference to those experiencing homelessness. If you have any questions, please contact us at fundraising@dubsimon.ie

Now, Dublin Simon Community want to invite you to become part of this epic tradition! This November we are organising a Gaming for Good – Mario Kart Tournament. Teams from some of Dublin’s biggest and best tech firms will compete with each other to find out who is the ultimate and undisputed, Mario Kart Champion.
