Dining for Simon

When you have no place to call your own, you are always the guest at someone else’s table

This is the unfortunate reality for people experiencing homelessness in Ireland today. Dublin Simon Community is calling on local restaurants, bars and their customers to give hope to those less fortunate by participating in the Dining for Simon Campaign.

What’s involved?

The idea is simple. With Dining for Simon, participating restaurants become a channel for customers who wish to donate to the Dublin Simon Community. We ask that at the end of a meal, the staff of our partnering restaurants encourage their diners to donate €2 to help give food and shelter to those without a place to call home.

This can be done in two ways:

  • Participating restaurants can add a “Dining for Simon” button to their till, offering customers the option of donating €2 when paying their bill

Or

  • Dining for Simon donation envelopes can be supplied for restaurant staff to offer to their customers

How do we get involved?

To join the growing list of Dining for Simon restaurants, simply fill out the form below, call 1850 462 462 or email corporate@dubsimon.ie

To help you in your own Dining for Simon campaign, we can provide you with promotional posters, a website banner and tent cards for your tables to help share the Simon message with your customers.

We will also provide you with content for your social media platforms, to encourage your diners to get involved and show that you and your staff care about making a difference to the lives of the men, women and children currently experiencing homelessness in Ireland.
