Dublin Simon Response for Hurricane Ophelia
Dublin Simon Community have put a plan in place to respond to hurricane Ophelia.
- The Dublin Simon Rough Sleeper team are working with the Housing First team, the Dublin Region Homeless Executive and other charities to coordinate outreach to people on the streets across Dublin.
- The team have been driving around the city all morning to encourage people who are rough sleeping to come indoors before the storm breaks.
- Additional shelter and staff have been provided across our accommodation services to ensure shelter is available.
- We are currently sourcing storm equipment such as touches, water etc. for our accommodation services. Donations on our website are welcome to help us replenish funds after the storm: www.dubsimon.ie.
