Donations received by Dublin Simon Community help us to provide services to people who are homeless or at risk in Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow. If you wish, you can specify a particular aspect of our work that you would like to support.

Regular Giving allows Dublin Simon to plan for the future, enabling us to start new projects and develop new initiatives to assist people experiencing homelessness.

Leaving a lasting legacy

Bequests left by individuals to Dublin Simon Community have been enormously beneficial in the support of all our services. If you would like to remember us in your will, please seek advice from your solicitor or contact in confidence, our Chief Executive Sam McGuinness or Carmel Dunne in our fundraising department on (01) 671 5551. As an alternative to leaving a bequest you could ask that instead of flowers people make a donation to Dublin Simon Community.


Tax information

Tax relief on donations to Dublin Simon Community mean that we can now make your generosity go even further to help those experiencing homelessness.

If you donate over €250 to Dublin Simon Community it is worth even more to us!

If you are a PAYE or self-assessed tax payer and have given €250 or more in the course of a tax year during 2013 or in previous years, Dublin Simon Community can reclaim the tax paid on your donations. Claiming this tax back for Dublin Simon applies to one-off donations or separate instalments in a given tax year, such as monthly donations. For the first time Dublin Simon can claim for self-assessed tax payers who have made donations of €250 or more in 2013. Please call (01) 671 5551 for more information. Simply send us your name and address with your donation and we will send you a form to sign, or you can download tax relief form here. This form allows us to claim the tax back on the donation

Companies who donate to Dublin Simon Community can themselves avail of tax relief on their donation as we are a registered charity, our registered charity number is 5963.



Donating good quality saleable items to one of the Dublin Simon Community Shops is another way of supporting our work.
We especially seek:

  • Good quality ladies, gents and childrens’ clothes
  • Books, shoes and bric-a brac
  • Household linen
  • Jewellery and objects d'art

Unfortunately we cannot accept large items of furniture such as couches or beds.
