Since December 1999 hundreds of Ireland’s
top companies have participated in the country’s most successful corporate fundraising appeal, the Simon House of Cards. Instead of sending out traditional corporate Christmas cards, they donated all or part of their annual Christmas card budget to Simon.
Their generosity has raised almot €4 million to date - all proceeds have gone to provide food and shelter for more than 5,000 men, women and children who would otherwise have spent Christmas sleeping rough.
While this support is greatly appreciated and has helped to alleviate problems and improve situations, there are still far too many homeless people on the streets.
That's why we’re appealing for your help again this Christmas! Don't send corporate Christmas Cards this year! Send a far more meaningful message of hope to people who are homeless in Ireland by donating to the Simon House of Cards Appeal 2009.
In recognition of your generosity, we will extend your company's Christmas greetings to your clients, colleagues and suppliers via two full-page advertisements in The Irish Times in the 2 weeks before Christmas. These pages will very publicly display your commitment to people who are homeless at Christmas and will include your company logo or listing. You can also claim tax relief on your donation.
But most importantly, you, your staff, customers and clients will have the benefit of knowing that you've given the most valuable Christmas gift you possibly could to the people in our community who need your help the most.
By Taking Part In 2009, Your Company Can Make A Real Difference To The Lives of Those Who Find Themselves Homeless.
