Our Homeless Support Service in Kildare, Wicklow and Meath work with people at risk or moving on from homelessness, liaising with local county councils to keep people in their homes.


The Simon Community established its local Homeless Support Service in Bray and Wicklow town and is working with the Local Authority and a number of local services to provide support, assessment, settlement to people who are homeless from as far north of the county in Bray, to Wicklow and Arklow towns.

The Simon Community are engaged through local partnerships in Kildare to support existing statutory and non statutory homeless services. From our services in Naas, Newbridge and Celbridge, staff complete initial assessments of need, referrals to the local authority housing department, case management and tenancy sustainment support to people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless across the county.

The Simon Community over the past three years have engaged with the County Council and local community services in Meath to provide support to people who are homeless, or who are at risk of becoming homeless. Currently, our support staff carry out assessments, referrals to Local Authorities and specialised services, case management and tenancy sustainment support to those people experiencing actual, or risk of, homelessness. Over the next year, and in line with our Wicklow and Kildare services, we will be further developing three distinct services in Meath: outreach; prevention; and sustainment.
